This history was started in Australia when my Great Grandfather and Mother arrived here from Somerset in 1860.
They came out to Australia aboard the ship the Morning Star
On arrival they travelled to Lancefield or Rochford, as the address has changed over the years. Eliza's brother Sam Hunt had arranged the purchase of the property now known as "Parkside " for them.
They had 13 children all born at Parkside with 12 surviving to adulthood. Both died in 1906 , 3months apart and it is said that g g mother died of a broken heart. |
